Das sage ich:
Ich habe noch NIE in meinem Leben bei einem Buch so viel geheult, wie bei diesem hier. Die Story ist rührend und erzählt die Geschichte von Holly, deren Ehemann Gerry an den Folgen eines Gehirntumors gestorben ist. Holly fällt nach Gerrys Tod in ein tiefes Loch aus Trauer und Selbstmitleid. Sie vermisst ihren Mann - klar. Allerdings hat sie nicht damit gerechnet, dass Gerry selbst nach seinem Tod noch dafür sorgen würde, für Holly präsent zu sein und ihr zu helfen, aus dem Loch wieder heraus zu kommen. Denn eines Tages erhält Holly einen Brief von ihrem toten Ehemann. Es ist nur ein Brief, dem noch viele weitere folgen. Sie alle haben ein Ziel: Holly wieder zur alten Lebenslust zurückzuhelfen. Gerry verlangt seiner Frau in den Briefen einiges ab. Egal, ob Karaoke-Nacht oder Urlaub in Irland. Mit jedem Brief wird Holly herausgefordert, über ihren eigenen Schatten zu springen, das Haus zu verlassen und zu leben.
P.S. Ich liebe Dich ist ein sehr tolles Buch mit einer einfühlsam geschriebenen Geschichte, die mich - ich gebe es gerne zu - Rotz und Wasser hat heulen lassen. Vergesst die Verfilmung - an dieser Stelle muss ich sagen: Das Buch ist tausend Mal besser, als der Film. Ehrlich!

This is what the synopsis says:

This is what I am saying:
I had NEVER EVER cried my eyes out while reading a book before. Never. The storyline is so heartwarming and moving - I cried like a baby. Forget the movie! I have to say, that this book is a thousand times better than the movie! Really!
I'll give it 5 stars out of 5!
